Hey there! I'm David Dieckhaus [DEEK-house]. Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, I've found my home in Broomfield, CO. Currently, I'm fully immersed as a photographer and cinematographer, specializing in studio, lifestyle, sports, and brand work at Oskar Blues Brewery in Longmont, CO.

When I first came to Colorado, it was all about school and snowboarding, but the sheer beauty of the outdoors completely swept me off my feet. That's when I grabbed a camera and haven't looked back since!

Throughout my time in college, I developed a deep passion for the unfiltered essence of nature in the Gunnison Valley. I started setting my alarm before sunrise to capture those truly breathtaking moments. I mean, who needs sleep when there's so much beauty to capture, right?

After college, I found my way back to my alma mater, Western Colorado University, where I landed a full-time videographer role. What quickly became clear was that stepping out of my landscape photography comfort zone was both incredibly enjoyable and rewarding. My time at Western had me crafting top-notch videos, revealing that my passion extended beyond just landscape photography. It dawned on me that my true calling was working with both people and cameras.

Following my time at Western, I made the leap to the front range of Colorado. Once again, I embraced the unknown by taking on the role of the sole photographer and cinematographer at Oskar Blues Brewery. My focus spans studio, lifestyle, brand, sports, PR, social media, and commercial photography and videography. Needless to say, it's been quite the learning journey.

 

My work ranges from crafting Instagram content to producing television commercials. Along the way, I've had the pleasure of collaborating with some incredible partners and agencies. Notably, I've teamed up with Level 1, CamelBak, Devinci Cycles, The Fly Fishing Film Tour, United Country Ranch Brokers, Sterling-Rice Group, and Fortnight Collective.

 

I take pride in my ability to oversee projects from start to finish. Typically, I handle the entire process, including planning, preparation, shooting, editing, and ultimately delivering the final product. I genuinely love every step of this process. Whether it's shooting, fine-tuning colors, delving into sound design, or delivering a product that both I and the client are stoked on, I love it all. 

 

Collaborating with my team and the talent is something I deeply enjoy. Together, we strive to create engaging content. Equally, I have a fondness for crafting stories that captivate an audience, regardless of whether it's through photos or videos.

This journey with cameras has been quite a roller-coaster, and I wouldn't change a single moment of it. Along the way, I've had the privilege of meeting remarkable individuals and living experiences beyond my wildest dreams!
